Too expensive, not that good

Great sushi! We really like to pick up. All hygiene measures are observed (employees wear masks, distance, ventilation)

The MUN Dinner Box for at home and the Sushi Burritos are super tasty and warmly recommended.

The waiters are extremely personable and extremely obliging every time. That gives me a lot of pleasure every time I visit. All tables were cleaned perfectly and the armchairs were extremely comfortable. Yes, ... right to be able to clean another dessert afterwards. My husband and I think the prices are completely fair.

A great restaurant, great service, not as aloof as many other restaurants in this price range, you don't have to be dressed in a shirt and jacket, but you can, everyone is welcome here, special requests are implemented directly. The boss himself also asked several times about our well-being. There were two of us and we chose the 4-course menu in the evening. Wine accompaniment worked very well, we'll be back.

I've been to Mun a few times now and it's been wonderful every time! The service is very attentive and friendly. The tasting menus with accompanying wines do not leave anyone hungry or sober. The food was very tasty and a very good selection of wines! Unfortunately, the Korean BBQ menu is no longer available at the moment.

Really excellent food and the service was super friendly and warm. Value for money top: 5 very good courses plus 6 glasses of wine (limited) for 69 €. Clear recommendation!

For German standards its good...

IT WAS A CHEAP CHEAT. We asked for a Japanese wine but the waiter (and he is the manager also) brought us one 300 ml bottle that did not appear in the menu. And then we had to pay 75 Euro for that liitle bottle. The food was a combination of a mess. Sushi was stinky. And the man touched too much on my son. A 300 Euro Dinner was ruined by a tricky man. WE were cheated! FOM!

Very nice, modern restaurant, with nice and helpful service. We have always wanted to visit the MUN restaurant and did so as part of the dining class. The food and wine accompaniment were consistently good, but not excellent. There were strengths and weaknesses. We think that the maximum performance was not exhausted with this menu and will try again if possible.

We made a reservation for 2 on Tuesday which was 4 days ago, the employee informed me that only special 5 course menu available now and she took a note that reservation is for a special occasion (wedding anniversary). Sounds great, right? Saturday at 16:00 (4 hours before reservation) I got a call with a question if any of us is vegetarian or so... I said that only one of us doesn’t eat meat, but fish and everything else is totally fine. The answer was - “then it’s problematic, let me check if our chef can do something else.” After 30 sec - “no, he said it’s not possible” Then I said that I’ll call back with a confirmation whether we still want to do a reservation or not, which I did and of course we canceled. The answer was : thanks anyway for letting us know. So well. Thanks for calling 4 h before reservation. Wouldn’t it be more professional to ask us that while doing reservation 4 days before? Simple : “sorry, please visit us another day” would be also nice. Professionalism - 0. Would be great to have some training how to work with guests.

Poor fish.

Small and inconspicuous but a real tip when you are in Munich. It goes down the stairs. As soon as you have reached the bottom you will be surprised. It is spacious and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The mountain kiss is warm and friendly. At the time I could choose between a 3 and 4 course menu. Optionally, you can also choose a wine accompaniment, which is highly recommended. The wines are excellently selected and go well with the arranged food. The price-performance ratio corresponds to the food and the service grade. Reserving a tip is recommended. I wish you a good appetite and look forward to the next time.

Best place in Munich for Sushi and Korean BBQ. I come here for the great food, the good wines and the incredibly welcoming service. The newest addition to their menu, the Korean Barbecue comes with surprising twists and even some Bavarian influences (such as a potato salad variation that can compete with my granny's). Am also deeply in love with their tuna tartar. Try it if you can.

Fusion mostly Asian by Korean chef. The composition was good and they had good service. As a person living in Asia for the last decade it won't be too special and you would expect better for the price value. Nevertheless it's a welcome Asian option to have in Munich.

I came because I wanted to eat Kimchi Jjige At first, there was only a course on the menu, so I brought a different menu. I had a Korean BBQ (55 euros per person). Of course it was expensive, but the atmosphere was good and the side dishes were fine. Especially the male server is kind. There is also a large seat in the inside, so it is possible for groups.

Very great atmosphere and very friendly and courteous service. We felt very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. Mr. Kim deserves his star and I have never eaten such delicious sushi! We will definitely be back!

Fan since the very beginning. Still the only top restaurant that gives you the feeling of being at home. Sensational cuisine, a really good wine list and outstanding hosts. Especially the sushi courses and the typical Korean dishes are simply divine. Again and again!

Pretty good food for German standards. But I'm not sure if it's worth the price tag. Sushi definitely needs some improvement. The cuts were too small and the rice a little undercooked.

I'm sure I will come here with my relatives and can rely on being looked after flawlessly. It totally blew us away. Great price-performance ratio. My husband and I find the inn contemporary for all kinds of occasions - whether with husband, friends or family. We are absolutely pleasantly surprised. We will definitely come back.

We had an exceptional evening at MUN. We opted for the 6 course option with wine pairings at €150 per person. Every flight of food and wine was delicious, elegant and well matched. It is expensive but worth it. We'll be back!

An incredible place for special occasions. Not cheap and sometimes, the choices of food are too drastic to come without a warning. It has gotten more expensive recently without really increasing the quality.

A real pleasure! Food was just terrific, the service was very friendly. I especially liked that she explained to us beautifully what was in every dish in it. Price is decent but worth every euro! Especially recommended!

lovely food and service, innovative menu and great cocktails

The food was really great, no complaints about that at all - The fact that the rather sassy waitress essentially dictated when to eat which dish that we specifically requested to have at the same time made my girlfriend to finish her sushi by herself first before I got my food served. This turned our supposedly nice date night into watching the other eat by ourselves.

Best Sushi in town and also steak and porkbelly are brilliant. Combined with handpicked wine by the very gentle owner Cary and the love for creative food additions by also-owner Mun, this is a great experience all the time I go there. Love their food, love their wines, love their kindness.

Ok. So after having been at this place several times I finally need to leave a review for everyone to see. This place is awesome. If you don’t go, you definitely miss out! If you have the menu with accompanying wines you will leave the place happy and slightly tipsy ;) food is awesome, especially the sushi. Wines are hand picked and just as great. Cary and Mun are the kindest hosts and make every visit extra special. Great value for money and always worth a visit. Ps: they are in Tastetwelve and also offer Essklasse until 11th August 2019. Go there!

Update 16/7/19 - they’re threatening me with legal action for this review. Also requested my medical documents which is illegal. They are absolutely terrible people on top of being terrible cooks. Original review: So I went when they were doing only one menu - 5 course and mandatory wine for 69€. I thought that was a decent deal so I went. Wow what a disappointing experience. The food was so basic and not even fresh. The sushi course was a bit fishy to the point where I didn’t want to eat the raw shrimp. The last course - the steak - was super chewy and I had to spit some out. Dry potatoes and really basic garnishing with arugula. Really?? I now have the runs and am going to the urgent care so as not to collapse from dehydration. Totally disappointing and will never go back.

I love the restaurant Mun! Food was amazing and staffs were very friendly! This restaurant has course menus with wine pairing. My husband and I had a great time with food and service! We will definitely visit again!

A complete restaurant experience. We had the 6 course set menu with wine pairings. It was incredible. Staff were great. Food was amazing. Wines were excellent. If/when we go again we will order the 4 course menu, or share the 6 course, because there is just so much food. The whole meal took a little over 4 hours, so not a place for a quick bite.

Fantastic sushi!

Super Service and decent Dining. An almost great dinner. The amuse bouche was a bit heavy for a start, the sushi as a starter was just perfekt. The second course, the pork belly, was great and the oyster that came with it was decent. The main dish had a really great loin and perfekt kimchi. But the mashed potatoes were a bit dry and the gravy was just tasteless. The desert was fine. Not perfectly balanced cause a little acidity would have balanced the two main parts of chestnut and black sesame.

The tuna carpaccio is straight from heaven.

Delicious. The ingredients quality is top, the service is perfect and the atmosphere classy but relaxed.

I couldn't wait to go to MUN again after having experienced a 4 course menu incl the corresponding wines in 2016, the year they opened up. This time, a 6 course menu did not fail to disappoint me - at all. The tatar was my favourite among all of the delicious dishes. There portions where almost too large :) and the cocktails and wine very tasty. The staff was very friendly (German/English not a problem) and we've even got a little intro in the different liquors they offer. Despite hoping the restaurant will be in Munich for many more years, I am personally hoping it will remain some kind of a secret for Munich locals.

excellent food, excellent atmosphere, already looking forward to my next visit!

I enjoyed the food and interesting umami cocltails. The fish was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. I like the focus on house prepared ingredients like soy sauce and kimchi. I found the rice in the sushi to be a bit disappointing, though. It was cold instead of warm and soft like I would expect from high end sushi.

Very nice and creative fusion restaurant based on Korean and Japanese. Wine pairing is especially good.
